Team Report
Tom Caesar - 8/10 - Great job behind the stumps. Out for a duck but very sportingly walked having brushed a ball down leg.
Simon Howarth - 8/10 - Fielded like a tiger, batted like a lion, swished at a dodgy shooter...the catalyst of the collapse.
Mark Butcher - 8/10 - Looped down 3 good overs, set the innings with a competant 40 odd but loses 2 points for breaking his bat!
Raj Singh - 8/10 -Brilliant Run out direct hit and fielded superbly all day. Struggled on a 'nest of Vipers' pitch when batting.
Darren Pickering - 2/10 - Constantly moaned about being cold/bored all afternoon. spooned a 4 ball caught and bowled duck. Gaylord.
Jas Singh - 8/10 - Despite an iffy spot of fielding and batting scores an 8 because the man he dropped went on to add 1 run and he ate his tea with gusto!
Adrian Martin 8/10 - Despite 1-19 and 25 not out - loses points for 'dissing' his captain for dropping the main man and batting like a man protecting his averages. (boooooo!)
Chaz Sadheva - 8/10 - Pick of the bowlers with a economical 8 over spell. Couldn't get to grips with the bounce whilst batting. 10 out of 10 chicken leg/pakora eating performance.
Sunny Singh 8/10 - Debut skipper performed admirably with cunning field settings. At least the man he dropped on 25 didn't go on to score 109. Oh he did - bugger.
Ash Hussein - 8/10 - Tight bowling, good fielding and never a number 10 batsman. Handled in-house sledging with aplomb.
Jon Howes - 8/10 - A wicket and catch in the first 5 minutes and the shot of the day - an on drive for 4, but loses 2 points for having the hangover of the day and looking like death warmed up all afternoon - very off-putting.
Oak and Ash - 8/10. Good bunch of lads. Good banter. Lose points for a One Man show (109 not out and 5 for not many - v.well played) whilst the others chipped in with 46 runs off the bat and 5 wickets. Excellent display by the oppo 'keeper.
Tea - 8/10. Top notch pork pie and facilities with wide screen footy on, but again points lost for 'greedy' top order tea chicken hoarders leaving just a memory of spicy indulgence on an empty plate for later eaters (surely 1 each boys.....)
Pitch - 2/10. Despite owning covers, these were not employed overnight, and the variable bounce made for a jumpy afternoon for all.
Ale Review - Just lagers and cask conditioned ales to report, although a Magners Golden did refresh parts other cidres just cant....
