West Midlands Doctors hammer final nail in coffin

With Halesonian’s letting us down at the last minute, Stevie Nicks did a great job of getting the Fitmen a fixture. The problem was it was against our arch nemesis WMD. When their skipper said he had a really strong side, Sunny using the old double headed coin, delivered probably one of the most important toss wins…ever. It was hot…damn hot. 27 degrees and sultry. WMD skip only went and called tails and with hindsight, thank Lucy Letby he did.

I’ve played this lot 14 times in 14 years. Won 4, Lost 9 and 1 Draw. We’ve had some tight games (maybe thrice), but this was, in the end, an utter waste of everyone’s time. You must know the feeling when you finally end a toxic relationship, or change jobs and it feels like the world has been lifted off your shoulders?

Fitmen got 122, but when the WMD openers took obvious delight in getting this target in just 8.4 overs…there’s winning and then there’s winning. Well done to both openers for some great hitting. Let me know when you go and play at a proper level and I’ll come and watch you then.
